Dr. J. Allen Puma earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston in 1987. In 1983 he obtained a BS in Applied Mathematics and a BA in Biology from the University of Vermont. He is a Past President of the Vermont Optometric Association. He completed clinical rotations at the Lighthouse for the Blind, and the Brunswick Naval Air Station. He founded Advanced Vision Care of Burlington, Vermont in 1997. Dr Puma specializes in contact lens fitting and primary eyecare.
He is licensed to treat infections and glaucoma. He is a member of the
OrthoKeratology Academy of America, and the Vermont Optometric Association.
